Suspension concentrates

General informations

Suspension concentrate manufacturing technology has an extended applicability for the formulation of water-insoluble active substances, being preferred to the wettable powder manufacture, especially for the advantages this formulation has for product users: lack of dust during handling and lighter dosing during treatments.

In order to meet the ever-increasing market demands for such products, we have put in place 4 suspension concentrate formulations, operated by qualified personnel, in accordance with the best manufacturing practices.

In this way, we can ensure the manufacture of products of all biological categories (herbicides, insecticides and fungicides) in safe cross-contamination, but also for operators and the environment.

Production lines

FUNGICIDES AND INSECTICIDES For the manufacture of fungicides and insecticides we have put into operation two production lines, each of them having a capacity of 800 tons per year, capacity calculted at one operation of the lines in one shift. The two lines are equipped with modern equipment to obtain stable suspension concentrates, both for the products used in the vegetation and for the treatment of seeds for sowing.

HERBICIDES For the manufacture of herbicides, in 2016 we put into operation a new line of formulations, with the possibility of using it both for the production of suspension concentrates and suspoemulsions. The capacity of this line is 800 tons/year, calculated for one operation in one shift. Because we pay great importance to the prevention of cross-contamination, this line operates independently in a building completely separate from the one where the fungicide and insecticide suspension concentrates are manufactured.

HERBICIDES Designed exclusively for the formulation of suspension concentrates and herbicide dispersions, this line has a capacity of 400 tons/year, under the conditions of operation in a single shift. With a lower capacity than the other suspension concentrate lines, this line is adapted for the manufacture of superactive herbicides, the main feature of which is low dose use.

Equipments

EQUIPMENT For the production of suspension concentrate we use the most modern milling equipment, all the lines of formulation being equipped with Dyno Mill mills. In their operation, for a high yield, we use different types of pearls, matrices and sizes chosen from studies conducted in our laboratory for every type of products.

EQUIPMENT To improve the quality of the milling and the homogeneity of the suspension during the process, the formulation lines are provided with flow homogenization systems.
